The Life Online project is a project that is being developed to improve employability through an online learning platform. Through the development of a new employability and entrepreneurship course unit of e-learning materials for use before, during and after mobility, participants will develop their international and soft skills such as team work and intercultural understanding to improve their employability.
Higher Education and VET (Vocational Education and Training) partners will exchange knowledge and work with business networks to develop the course unit which will complement ECVET (European Credit System for Vocational Education and Training) principles and encourage young people, particularly those who face barriers, to participate.
This project will be based on the previous projects of LIFE 2 and EMPLOY.
The first meeting was in November where meeting concluded with the five key competency areas being agreed upon and which partner will be responsible for each competency area:
- Entrepreneur
- Communication
- Team Work
- Job Seeking
- Learning to Learn
The e-learning materials will be available for wider use in Year 3 of the project and after the end of the project as open educational resources via the project website. Teacher and learner guides will also be produced and tested to provide guidance on how best to use the e-learning materials at each phase of the mobility. A report will be published on the project outcomes and experiences of learners, teachers and employers to explain how the e-learning materials can be used to benefit different target groups including businesses.
The project will benefit learners from different disciplines to be better prepared for the workplace and able to consider a broader range of career options including entrepreneurship and international work.
