FLASH-RET is a 16-month Erasmus Plus project that aims to improve learning outcomes and promote active learning by enabling both teachers and students to use flashcards effectively.
Retrieval Practice is an effective learning strategy, widely supported by scientific evidence, that focuses on retrieving knowledge from memory and creating deeper, strengthened and connected learning. With this project we intend to increase the use of retrieval practice through flashcards as a learning tool.
The FLASH-RET consortium consists of 3 organisations: the coordinator Asociación Aprendizaje Activo (Spain), and partners Gheorghe Asachi Botosani Technical School (Romania) and International Primary School of Innovative Education in Lodz (Poland).
The project has developed:
- “The use of flashcards in the classroom” Handbook
- Teacher training in the topic of flashcards
- Pilot programmes with teachers
- Materials (examples and templates of flashcards)
